Project Verifiers

Verifiers will submit the following documents to the Reserve:

  • Conflict of Interest form – detailing the relationship between the developer and verifier, if any (internal Reserve document).
  • Verification Report – summary of verification activities and the basis of opinion, submitted at the end of verification activities (public document).
  • Verification Opinion – final statement of findings, submitted at the end of verification activities (public document).

    Project Verifiers: Accessing the Climate Action Reserve



    After being accredited, project verifiers can request an account with the Climate Action Reserve. Please see the Account Registration page for more information.

    Conducting Verification Activities
    1. When your firm is selected as a verifier by a project developer, the Reserve Administrator ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) will send you an email notification.
    2. Once selected you will be able to view the project on the My Projects report listed under Verifier reports on the Account Dashboard.
    3. Accessing the Project Documents screen from the My Projects report, submit the Conflict of Interest (COI) form to the Reserve for review.
             a. Complete a mitigation plan, if requested.
             b. Once notified that COI is manageable, you will also have access to the project and can review project data.



    Completing Verification Activities
    Use the My Projects report to review project information and to submit your report and opinion from the Reserve homepage.

    1. Click on Upload Documents
    2. Submit the final Verification Opinion (coming soon)
    3. Submit the final Verification Report

    You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to prepare these forms.

    Conflict of Interest

    Describes the past and current working relationship between a developer and verifier
    • Download the Word File
    • Form should be viewed and completed using Microsoft Word 2003. Using different versions of Microsoft Word may cause problems with viewing and completing the forms.
    • Complete the form

    States whether the project is verified or cannot be verified

    Verification Report

    A summary of the verifier findings in reviewing the project emissions data and methodologies
    • Prepare in your own word processing program
    • Save the file as a PDF
    • Upload to the Reserve
