The California Climate Action Registry and Point Carbon invite you to join us this May for the 6th annual conference, Navigating the Carbon World. 2012 will be a significant year for the carbon world –the end of the Kyoto compliance period, and the beginning of California’s first year of caps on greenhouse gases. US Congressional legislative initiatives also use 2012 as a benchmark year.
Government leaders share visions of the carbon-constrained world in 2012, highlighting pathways to that point in time, and discuss local and global climate action. Environmental and business thought leaders respond with their respective roadmaps to navigating a carbon-friendly future. This will be followed by responses from the environmental and business industry in an effort to promote common understanding, different perspectives and start a dialogue on the future of global carbon policy.
Afternoon sessions will include today's most significant climate issues and will follow four different streams:
